Microdiscectomy , also sometimes called Microdecompresion or Microdiskectomy, is a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed on patients with a herniated lumber disc. During this surgery, a surgeon will remove portions of the herniated disc to relieve pressure on the spinal nerve roots.
