Pedicle Screws Loosening is a frequent complication after spinal surgery. Implant colonization with low-virulent microorganisms forming biofilms may cause implant loosening. However, the clinical evidence of this mechanism is lacking. The mechanisms of Pedicle Screw loosening are not well understood.
